Turbo-Seal

Turbo-Seal® water-based coldseal coatings are based on 100% synthetic polymers, or blends of natural rubber latex and synthetic polymers, to create a wide variety of cold seals for many food and medical flexible packaging applications. Features of Turbo-Seal include better machining at higher speeds over heatseal, superior adhesion and cohesion to select papers and films, plus lower unwind strengths for more consistent packaging performance.

Nip-Weld Products are Bostik's historic cold seal products for most applications; our Turbo-Seal products have replaced them as the next generation.

FEATURED TURBO-SEAL PRODUCTS - New All-Synthetic Coldseal

New all-synthetic coldseal products have been developed for a variety of flexible food packaging applications. Free of natural rubber latex, these products proactively address the issues associated with packaging with natural rubber latex-based cold seals. We have some products suitable for surface-printed mono web packages, while others are intended for in-line, duplex laminations using OPP and PET films. Food applications include candy, bakery, cookie, ice cream bar, nutraceuticals and other specialty snacks.

Medical packaging users have been interested in synthetic-based coldseal systems. Turbo-Seal all-synthetic coldseal coating for medical flexible packaging can be designed free of natural rubber latex. These new products proactively address the issues associated with packaging products using natural rubber latex-based cold seals. Applications include paper and paper/film bandage wrap and for a variety of medical devices. They are specifically designed to be peelable and non-resealable for tamper evidence.
