Technical Service Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Sales & Marketing efforts of the Flooring Group
  • Support Market & Product Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Marketing & Communications Manager, and Territory Managers
  • Manage two Technical Service Specialists
  • Responsibilities include managing the technical support of the various flooring segments, which includes Ceramic, Hardwood, Rubber, Carpet & Vinyl, Underlayment & Patch Flooring Installation Market Segments
  • Assure technical accuracy for products, assist in the development of new products, and the evaluation of both Bostik and competitive products
  • Provide timely, accurate, written recommendations and job specific warranties
  • Manage the technical support requirements of distributors, dealers, contractors, flooring manufacturers, consumers, designers, and architects
  • Review, direct and assist in the resolution of Customer Concerns (i.e. claims)
  • Represent Bostik Flooring Group in industry associations, committees, trade shows, group presentations and hands-on product demonstration

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 4 year degree, Chemical, Engineering or Technical preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in technical support or equivalent
  • Experience with adhesives or chemical products used in construction preferred
  • Familiar with common analytical and physical test methods
  • Strong written, verbal, and personal communication skills
  • Must show the ability to complete projects with minimal supervision
  • The ability to work with people at all levels
  • Must be able to make formal presentations to groups, as well as, "relate to" distributor, dealer, contractor, and the installation mechanics
  • Hands-on skills to perform field testing, mock-up installations and product demonstrations
  • Ability to travel 35%
