Maintenance Technician
Job Responsibilities
- Daily maintenance and repair of production equipment and facilities.
- Ensure that all plant equipment is in safe operating condition and within established operational parameters.
- Assist with the overall environmental and operational safety of the plant.
- Verify equipment full operational status and minimal equipment down time.
- Attend and contribute to daily maintenance team meetings and maintenance planning.
- Assist with production improvement plan as related to plant upgrades and modifications.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and ANSI regulations regarding equipment operations and plant safety equipment and procedures.
- Maintain proper inventory levels on all tools, spare parts, and other necessary maintenance items within budgetary guidelines.
- Assist with the coordination and direction of outside support and contractor activities.
- Enforce environmental, safety, and housekeeping practices throughout plant.
- Act pro-actively and effectively as a fully contributing member of the maintenance department in all its functions.
- Contribute to the overall growth and development of the maintenance team.
- Perform all functions and tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
- 1-3 years of progressive hands-on experience in maintenance and repair.
- Effective electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge in basic hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical theory.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, drawings, and wiring schematics.
- Electrical circuit troubleshooting analysis and system diagnostic skills.
- Basic working knowledge and understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical power transmission system operational fundamentals.
- Ability to work off-shift and weekends as necessary.
- Knowledge of Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) and Kaizen activities a plus.
- Knowledge and experience with Programmable Logic Circuits (PLC) a plus.
