Maintenance Technician

Job Responsibilities

  • Daily maintenance and repair of production equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure that all plant equipment is in safe operating condition and within established operational parameters.
  • Assist with the overall environmental and operational safety of the plant.
  • Verify equipment full operational status and minimal equipment down time.
  • Attend and contribute to daily maintenance team meetings and maintenance planning.
  • Assist with production improvement plan as related to plant upgrades and modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and ANSI regulations regarding equipment operations and plant safety equipment and procedures.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels on all tools, spare parts, and other necessary maintenance items within budgetary guidelines.
  • Assist with the coordination and direction of outside support and contractor activities.
  • Enforce environmental, safety, and housekeeping practices throughout plant.
  • Act pro-actively and effectively as a fully contributing member of the maintenance department in all its functions.
  • Contribute to the overall growth and development of the maintenance team.
  • Perform all functions and tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • 1-3 years of progressive hands-on experience in maintenance and repair.
  • Effective electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in basic hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical theory.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, drawings, and wiring schematics.
  • Electrical circuit troubleshooting analysis and system diagnostic skills.
  • Basic working knowledge and understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical power transmission system operational fundamentals.
  • Ability to work off-shift and weekends as necessary.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) and Kaizen activities a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with Programmable Logic Circuits (PLC) a plus.
