Business Development Sales Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with the Business Development Segment Manager to assess Consumer Products / DIY opportunities for Bostik’s Construction & Distribution products in The United States and Canada.
  • Prioritization and implementation of strategies to drive both short-term and long-term Revenue and Margin growth through Consumer Products / DIY Market Segment(s).
  • As revenues and business opportunities allow, create and develop a Consumer Products / DIY sales force to support and grow the business.
  • Responsible for any product training, on-site demonstrations, claim/jobsite issue resolution, and all "the face of Bostik" type responsibilities that arise in the market segment.
  • Organize a priority list of Products and/or Accounts to target realistic revenue goals; both short and long-term.
  • Work with other Marketing & Sales personnel to avoid / address conflict with our Professional Market Segments.
  • Assess and define packaging and/or pricing that will allow us to compete for a DIY presence.
  • Work with other Marketing & Sales personnel to train / educate end-users (website, videos, brochures, etc.).
  • Coordination / Reconnaissance of Competitive Market Information (products, pricing, opportunities).
  • Responsible for positioning the company, the product line as a whole, as well as, each product so that the "product line offering" can drive improved/increased sales and margins.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 4 year degree. Business, Chemical, or Technical degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years proven sales, marketing, or technical experience.
  • Experience with adhesives, chemicals, or construction products preferred
  • Must have strong written, verbal, and personal communications skills.
  • Must show the ability to complete projects with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to work with people at all levels.
  • Must be able to make formal presentations to groups, as well as, "relate to" distributor, dealer, contractor, and the installation mechanics.
  • Hands-on skills needed to perform field testing, mock-up installations, and product demonstrations.
  • Ability to travel 75%
